Moderator: Bryan Terry

Deering Community Church UCC Moderator oversees and leads the governing board (Council) to develop and steward the structural and spiritual needs of this church and its ministries. She welcomes and encourages communication within and beyond the church walls. She can be reached through the church office.

Bryan has lived in Deering for over forty years. She has been involved, one way or another with the Deering Community Church for most of that time. She has been a member of the choir, served on Music, Deacon, Christian Education, Summer Faire, Search Committees and various ad hoc committees of the Church Council over the years. She would like to promote ever increasing participation between Town, church and the world community.

Administrative Assistant: Ali Burkhamer

We are pleased to announce that the Deering Church has hired a new Administrative Assistant, Ali Burkhamer, who started with us in April of 2024.


You’ll see her more than skillful hands involved in all the administrative duties, and you’ve no doubt already seen emails from her, announcing weekly bulletins, publishing ‘Bits ‘N Pieces’ and more.
Ali lives in Bennington and works full time as a lead teacher of Roots and Wings School, a school in New Boston. She enjoys working as an early childhood educator and has been doing this work for quite a few years now. She attended NHTI in Concord for her teaching degree and holds a BA in Business Administration from New England College.
She’ll be working for us both in the office and from home when possible. You’ll also see her running Zoom on at least two Sundays a month. Please stop by to see her and offer a warm welcome and thanks!
