Free Community Concert - Shizue Sano

A native of Japan, Shizue Sano received the Bachelor of Music in piano in Tokyo. She came to study at Indiana University and earned the Artist Diploma in piano and the Master of Music in piano. She has participated in numerous national and international competitions. You can read more about her accomplishments on the printed biography – which have been placed on the table outside this room.  She was a long-time faculty member at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. She has been teaching at Middlesex School in Concord, MA for more than twenty years. Shizue also has a busy studio in Cambridge with students of all levels and ages, and active in solo and chamber music performances. The piano maker, Steinway & Sons, selected her as one of the recipients of the Steinway Top Teacher Award in 2022.
